With Continuos-light you can create dramatic lighting effects and it is definitely much easier to manage as a beginner. This session was created with 2 continuos light soft box placed on the left side of the model and on the right side for the last picture as a light test. 

On post-production I slightly desaturate the skin and clean up imperfection with the Frequency Separation.
