Rembrandt light
Named after the famous 17Century Dutch Painter Rembrandt Van Rijn - Rembrandt used to paint most of his painting with this type of light developing his own recognizable style.
The main characteristic is the shape of the shadow - The light is place at exact 45˚ respect our subject and roughly 2 feet above their eye level angled downwards. .
The shadow will appear like a triangle of light on the darker side of the subject cheek. The triangle of light should be wider like the eye and longer like the nose.
